River Tubarão:
Has its springs in the lake of Imarui. Garopava and
Imbituba cities belongs to this basin in Santa Catarina
Brazil ideal places for tourism and observation of whales.
The historical city of Laguna is famous for its carnival,
for Santa Marta's Lighthouse one of the highest structures
of the world built with mortar and whale oil and its
cultural attractions. There is a reference point of
Tordesilhas and the house where the Brazilian heroine
Anita Garibaldi was born. The whole, 600 buildings have
been preserved by the historical patrimony in the city.
To the south of Laguna they are family areas like the
Beachs of Rincao, Arroio da Silva and Morro de Convents.
Towards the interior there are two dozen cities colonized
by Italians, migratory average for Santa Catarina. The
cities are Urussanga, Nova Veneza and Orleans, where
the delight of the colonial kitchen can be tasted. To
buy home products and to appreciate dialects and traditional
songs and to live together in harmony with authentic
Italians.
River
Itajai: in the valley of River Itajai, the cities of
Blumenau, Brusque and Pomeorde, preserve a piece of
Germany history in Brazil. Blumenau is the Germanic
center on Brazilian soil, famous for their leatherwork,
crystals and porcelains, the 250 thousand city inhabitants'
have a view over the beautiful River Itajai-Acu. Pomerode
is considered the city most German in Brazil, 32 Km
from Blumenau that stands out for the language (95%
of the population speak fluent German). Other cities
that stand out in the European valley are: Gaspar, Indaial,
Rodeio, Ibirama, Rio dos Cedros e Rio do Sul.
